Yoga & Knitting Farm Retreat

A retreat to a sustainable farm in Vermont for a weekend of restoration

October 21 – 23, 2016

Image 3

Imagine waking up on a farm, while sipping tea in the cool mountain air and brilliant sunshine. Each day brings the promise of yoga classes, time to knit and prepare wool, delicious farm-fresh food, and leisurely walks to the river or surrounding woods. Throughout the retreat we have the opportunity to make fiber from our resident Icelandic sheep, as well as crafting with other fibers. Learn the process of creating from sheep to needle, which includes cleaning, carding, spinning, and dyeing wool to prepare for inspiring knitting projects. Enjoy having time to meditate and relax in the idyllic autumnal setting of rural Vermont.

  • Energize with four enlivening yoga classes
  • Savor six rejuvenating organic, vegetarian meals
  • Enjoy the peaceful companionship of shared accommodations
  • Expand your skills with classes in knitting, carding, spinning, and natural dyeing
  • Delight in hands on time with the Metta Earth flock of Icelandic sheep
  • Revel in the autumn beauty and peak colors in the mountains

No experience necessary for yoga or knitting!
